On this hike, I began at the Chuckwalla Trailhead, went past the rock climbers (there are always climbers practicing here, and they are fun to watch sometimes). I took the North Crossing to the Turtle Wall, followed it to the overlook, and came back on Beck Hill. It’s a pleasant hike, lots of wide open space and interesting rock formations, and at the end, you have an overlook over the city of Ivins. The lava flows coming down through the red sandstone are also very cool (seen here with snowy peaks in the background). I’m continuing my mapping project, and you can see my track, altimeter, speed, and pictures at Gaia GPS.
